Leszek Kula
The manager with the longest professional experience among all mint managers around Europe. Employed in the Mint of Poland in 1987, initially at the position of the coin mintage production manager.
Beginning with the year 2002, he has been an operations director, therefore, the head of all production and technical departments of the Mint of Poland as well as logistics, construction, infrastructure and work safety. He became an operations director and a member of the Management Board in April 2005.
Mr. Kula is an originator of various coin constructions and techniques of their mintage. In his private life, he is a keen mountaineer, bicycle enthusiast, gardener and a cook – as his wife puts it – an excellent one.
He graduated Warsaw University of Technology in 1974 with the title of magister inżynier (M.Sc. equivalent). He also completed postgraduate studies of industrial economics in SGPiS (Warsaw school of planning and statistics) – currently known as Warsaw School of Economics.
Prior to employment in the Mint of Poland, between 1974 and 1986, he was a technical manager in the Warsaw passenger automobile factory.
