The Warsaw Mint during the reign of Stanisław August. (Show-case 5), 2006
A copy of the title card, and one of the manuscript pages regarding the technical methods of coin production. The manuscript was elaborated in the year 1767, especially for the Mint's use, by August count Moszyński, vice-director of the Warsaw Mint from 1766-1786. Coins and stamps for the experimental coins of Stanisław August, from the year of 1771. The era of Stanisław August closes with a matrix to the medal (today an order) Virtuti Militari (ob. and rv.). On the display, there is also a copy of the title card of Antoni Schroder's manuscript, the last administrator and director of the Warsaw Mint in the Stanisław's era. This manuscript discloses the specific listing of the outstanding coins and medals from the years of 1766-1795, Mint's history chronicle, and numbers illustrating Mint's production level and its economic results. The manuscript was drafted in 1797, directly after closing the Mint by Prussian occupying authorities.
