There is no Solidarity without love.
The Mint of Poland offered to purchase the “50 Concordii” local ducat commemorating the 30th anniversary of establishing NSZZ Solidarność (Independent Self-governing Trade Union "Solidarity") and of signing the August Agreement – “Tygodnik Solidarność”.
The ducat was struck form silver, on the obverse there is a logo of Solidarity and an inscription: “30th anniversary of signing of the August Agreement”, in the background, map of Poland and fragments of the Agreement. The newspaper emphasizes that there is a reference to the person of John Paul II – on the reverse there is an image of John Paul II while praying and in the background a fragment of the altar from pope’s mass in Gdańsk and an inscription: “There is no solidarity without love.”
