Mint directors from the entire world in Warsaw
The representatives of the mints from all over the world visited the Mint of Poland. They are the members of the Mint Director Conference.
MDC is an organization which unites the companies that mint coins (currency issued by national central banks). The organization is composed of two committees: technical and marketing.
This time it was the 15 technical meeting in Poland. Technical meetings are held every six months in the country of the mint which is the host. The Mint of Poland welcomed the MDC guest representatives after a 15-year break.
The main topic of discussions are the trends / technologies of coin minting throughout the world. Warsaw was visited by the guests from the Royal Mint, Munze Osterreich, Royal Canadian Mint, Royal Australian Mint, Japan Mint,, Perth Mint and Monnaie de Paris as well as German and Lithuanian mints and the representatives of the companies connected with minting business.
