The Mint of Poland coins awarded in Saint Petersburg once again
Three coins struck by the Mint of Poland minters were awarded during the Coin Constellation 2011 contest.
International jury awarded:
- the second place to the coin: "Constitution 20 Roubles" (Ag) in the 'Successful artistic solution' category,
- the second place was awarded to the 1-dollar "Christmas Star" coin in the 'Souvenir coin' category,
- special prize from the Organizing Committee to a 10-zloty "Krzysztof Komeda" coin (round).
The Mint of Poland coins have received numerous top prizes in the Coin Constellation contest for many years. A year ago, the title of the silver coin of the year was awarded to a 10-zloty coin with the image of Czesław Niemen (10 zł) and the special prize was given to the "Zodiac Signs" series of coins which were struck for Belarus by the Mint of Poland.
As many as seven coins from the Mint of Poland were awarded in 2009.
