You & Me, 1 Dollar

The coins are struck using mirror dies on sterling silver planchets Ag 925, with a limited mintage up to 10,000 pieces each. They are available in beautifully designed cases along with certificates of authenticity, guaranteed by the Mint of Poland.

Obverse:
In the foreground of both coins – heart-shaped balloons as traditional decorative elements. On each coin there is the issuer's emblem – the bust of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the name of the issuer - Niue Island, the year of issue - 2012 and its nominal value: 1 Dollar.

Reverse:
In the central parts of both coins – the birds sitting on their branches, facing each other’s bills, each bird with its red, made in the pad printing, heart in the middle. In the place of their eyes - green Swarovski crystals. At the bottom of the left coin there is the inscription in English: YOU, at the bottom of the right coin - the inscription in English: ME. The mirror-like elements of one coin are presented frosted on the other one and conversely. It symbolizes the process of complementing the opposites, harmony and balance. The composition resembles a folk cut-out.
