The second release in this charming series features the Golden Hind, best known for its circumnavigation of the globe between 1577 and 1580, captained by Sir Francis Drake.
The coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.
The coin’s reverse depicts a representation of the Golden Hind in full sail, set against a coloured globe map and the inscription GOLDEN HIND. The design also incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, the coin’s obverse depicts the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2011 year-date and the monetary denomination.

The coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
The coin is housed in a presentation display case and superbly illustrated shipper. Series subscriptions with the bonus five-coin presentation case will include unpackaged coins in capsules with certificates.
