The Mint of Poland issued its second collector set from the “Polish National Symbols” series.

The coins depict the following orders and decorations:

•    Cross of the Order of the White Eagle from the times of August II
•    Cross of the Order of Saint Stanislaus dating back to the year 1765
•    Virtuti Militari
•    Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta
•    Cross of Independence with Swords
•    Cross of Merit
•    Great Cross of the Order of the Military Cross

In 2008 the Mint released the “White Eagle” set of coins containing historical images of the Polish national emblem. This year the Mint presented 7 most important orders and decorations of the state. The second set, much as the first one, is enjoying enormous popularity among collectors and all those with an interest in history.

The product consultant was Mr. Tadeusz Jeziorowski, the curator of the Military Museum of Wielkopolska, an outstanding expert on state orders and decorations.

The „Polish National Symbols – State Orders and Decorations” coins exist in three types: an alloy version in a blister pack as well as silver and gold versions in an elegant wooden box.
