Official stamps and crest stamps
Since 13 December 1927, following a decision of the President of Poland, the Mint of Poland has been the only institution authorized to produce Polish official stamps, i.e. stamps with the image of the state emblem.

This constitutes an element of a broader system of production, protection and distribution of products being the symbol of the legitimate power, authority, security, authenticity and legal validity.

Our minting techniques make it possible to maintain the repeatability of the patterns used. The Mint also assures an adequate level of protection of the tools used for producing stamps. It keeps the central register of all the stamps – a real library of “fingerprints” which allows the detection of forgeries.

Apart from offering stamps of different sizes, we produce them in different varieties: ink stamps, sealing wax stamps and stamps to be pressed onto paper. These may include crest stamps containing emblems of cities, municipalities or private individuals, or even logos of companies.

Insignia of local government’s authority
Each body of the local government as well as all institutions active in a given area should be recognizable. The symbols and badges which allow us to recognize the office of the major, policeman or a civil registration officer while they are performing their duties are inseparable from each of these functions. The prestige of the public offices requires that the symbols of offices be of the highest quality. The state emblem, the badges and the town emblems produced by the Mint of Poland reinforce the images of solid and reliable institutions.

Medals for merits, commemorative medals and badges
A medal is a thought preserved in metal; it can be an award, a souvenir, a token of gratitude. It is a dream of many collectors, a prestige-building object, an original carrier of information, an unconventional means of communication for marketing purposes.

The Mint of Poland has been helping to produce such works of art for many years. It is the main manufacturer of such products. Each month we produce thousands of medals of various shapes and sizes using many kinds of metals. Many of our medals are unique and without equivalents worldwide.

What is more, Mennica Polska S.A. has in its offer the production of metal badges. Just like medals, these can be made of gold, silver or bronze, they may be gold- or silver-plated or contain colourful elements. They are mostly commissioned by organizations and companies. They can also include town emblems, the state emblem or other symbols. We offer several kinds of fasteners: pins, safety pins, tacks, and screws. Our customers are free to choose the preferred shape, size and fastener of their badge.
